2021 Bohan Dillon Pinot Noir, Hirsch Vineyards
The Bohan-Dillon Pinot Noir takes its name from the road that runs through the vineyard, and was created as David Hirsch’s ode to the village wines of Burgundy, and as a pure demonstration of West Sonoma, using a blend of grapes from the family’s Hirsch vineyard, the neighbouring Hellenthal plot, and Heintz ranch, some twenty miles to the south.
The wine is fresh and poised, and coming in at 12.9% alcohol shows the balance and perfume that can be achieved in the wild vineyards of this corner of California.
