2020 Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir, Tyler Winery
The Santa Rita Hills, way down south near Santa Barbara, have been producing great classic pinot noir for decades. Tyler’s open-top fermenters and barriques are distinctly Burgundian but the sublime, sweet, ripe black cherry-fruited end results is most definitely Californian. My top choice for turkey.
