2020 Marsannay ‘Boivins’, Domaine Coillot
Beautifully aromatic, its prettiness was remarkable given the earthy structure it was wrapped up in around 18 months ago. Some maturity was on display, but also lots of vigour and freshness, giving it a really cohesive and energetic feel. Its brightness and definition belied the power of the 2020 vintage and you couldn’t be anywhere but classical Burgundy.
