Gallica

About Gallica:

Formerly of Spottswoode Vineyard and Mumm Napa, Rosemary Cakebread is one Napa’s most respected and – for all her humility – influential winemakers. Rosemary established Gallica in 2007, with the objective of ‘crafting elegant single vineyard wines farmed organically which accurately depict the site and the story of each unique vintage.’ This is Napa on a human-scale, with sustainability at the heart of everything. The name Gallica is taken from a particularly beautiful apothecary rose. Gallica’s Cabernet Franc and flagship Cabernet Sauvignon hail from the Oakville Ranch Vineyard. The domaine’s ethereal Grenache is from pre-Prohibition vines in Sonoma County, while the textured yet mouthwateringly fresh Albariño – a varietal Rosemary loves – is grown in Calaverras, north of Yosemite, where the soil is pure limestone. We are delighted to offer a selection of mature vintages while we await new releases from Gallica later this year.
